Maturation	During the winemaking process, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 21 days, with the maximum temperature being 27°C. This controlled fermentation allows the aromas to develop optimally without being affected by excessively high temperatures. After the main fermentation, the wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels. Both first and second passage barrels are used to ensure a balanced ratio of fresh wood notes and more mature, subtle oak aromas. This aging gives the wine its complexity and the ability to develop the characteristic, nuanced flavor elements typical of a high-quality cuvée.

The Fattoria di Rignana Chianti DOCG 2020 has a deep red color and captivates with intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and wild berries, which are accompanied by fine spicy nuances such as cloves and cinnamon. A hint of vanilla and subtle oak aromas lend additional depth to the bouquet. On the palate, it has a silky texture, characterized by a harmonious balance between fruitiness and spice. The fine tannins and long-lasting finish underline its complexity. Ideally served at 16-18 °C, it goes perfectly with game dishes, lamb or mature cheese. Keeps for up to 15 years. Alcohol content: 14.5%.

Fattoria Rignana

Fattoria Rignana has a rich history dating back to the 11th century, when it was part of the castles of the Val di Greve association. In the 17th century, it became the property of the noble Dè Ricci family, best known for Scipione, a descendant of Santa Caterina dè Ricci. In 1965, Arminio Gericke acquired the estate with the aim of establishing modern viticulture. Careful cultivation practices were introduced in order to produce high-quality wines. Today, the Fattoria is managed by Cosimo Gericke, who uses organic cultivation methods and leads a dedicated team in the vineyard and cellar.

What is the best way to store the wines?

The best way to store the wines is in a cool, dark place, horizontally. When storing, the temperature should not exceed 16 degrees.

How long can I store the wines?

How should the wines be served?

Sparkling wines should be served between 6-8°C, white wines between 12-14°C, and red wines between 16-18°C. Allow them to breathe a little after uncorking.
